The Faction Model allows a fitness facility to provide members with affordable training and programming that fits their specific goals, level of fitness and schedule without the constraints and pricing of personal training.
In short, this is done in by creating a number of in-house programs that address the different goals and abilities of a facility’s membership base. The members are then divided and placed into the program that most accurately fits their personal fitness profile. During the facility’s hours of operation, there will always be at least one coach present that is familiar with all of the programs that are currently being offered. As members enter the facility, the coach(es) will guide them through their daily training, as needed. There are no fixed class starting/ending times and no personally assigned coaches.
This method has been proven to increase membership, membership retention, member satisfaction and facility revenue while drastically decreasing the scheduling and fluctuation issues associated with personal training. The value for the member is obvious; they are getting virtually all the benefits of personal training at a price that is much closer to a regular gym membership.
While simple in theory, the brief description above doesn’t even begin to describe the actual implementation or management of The Faction Model. With 7 years of trial and error under our belt, we have compiled all that we have learned and opted to make our business model available to the fitness industry.
